This Thursday, May 07, the Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, sworn in the Scientific and Technological Council of the state of La Guaira, with the objective of deepening scientific development to achieve economic independence and ensure the well-being of the Guairian families of that entity.
Jiménez, accompanied by the governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, and regional authorities, set up the space that will bring together scientists, researchers, innovators, technologists, students and academics committed to the sovereign development of the state and the country.
In her speech, the minister referred to the projects received during the activity, which are aimed at marine conservation and agricultural production, which will turn L a Guaira into a territory of innovation and transformation, bequeathed by Commander Hugo Chávez and followed today by the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
He stressed that the Scientific Council will have a Bioethics Committee, which will be responsible for approving projects under our ethical principles.
He also commented that science in the state of La Guaira has allowed more than 22,000 young people to be approached with the National Scientific Seed Program, with which knowledge becomes a pillar for promoting the sovereignty, production and development of the Guairian people.
