The Minister of the People's Power for Ecological Mining Development and president of the Venezuelan Corporation of Guiana (CVG), Héctor Silva, oversaw the recovery of corrective maintenance work at the “Alfredo Maneiro” Orinoco Steel Pellet Plant (SIDOR).

The maintenance work is focused on the optimization of the furnace's thermal and mechanical systems, which guarantee greater operational efficiency and the stabilization of pellet production, a key input for the national steel industry, according to a CVG post on its Instagram account.

The adaptation of production furnaces is a work that is carried out in an articulated manner with the company Refractarios Socialista de Venezuela.

The central objective of the adjustments is to strengthen the briquette market and keep the working of the holding industries tied together, ensuring that each process contributes to the growth of the Iron-Steel sector.

With these actions, the CVG reaffirms its commitment to the country's productive sovereignty.
