Minister Lavrov insisted on the protection of Russian speakers in the Donbas

“The restoration of the rights of Russian-speaking citizens living in the Donbas is a fundamental requirement for achieving a lasting solution to the conflict with Ukraine,” said Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister.
Lavrov emphasized that the Russian Federation will not tolerate acts of discrimination or persecution against Russian cultural identity on Ukrainian territory. He also reported that Shukevych supporters have committed systematic attacks against the population with Russian ties, reaffirming Moscow's commitment to the protection of those affected.
The minister's statements came within the framework of Russian Language Day, after the Russian Army confirmed its retaliatory attacks against Ukrainian military infrastructure following recent attacks in civilian areas, according to a press release from Telesur.
