As part of the strategies to consolidate the national economic model, the sectoral vice-president of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, asserted that the Venezuelan population assumed the duty to ensure the construction of a productive country. This was indicated during the course “Productive Graft: Popular and Communal Agriculture”; the minister emphasized that this vision was part of the Homeland Plan, under the guidelines dictated by President Nicolás Maduro and the guidelines of President (E) Delcy Rodríguez.
In this regard, Menéndez explained that the training day sought to glimpse the communal scale to strengthen agro-industrial capacity and manufacturing. In turn, he highlighted that grafts and the productive economy integrated the new framework of social consensus, while popular planning evaluated experiences such as the People-to-People Plan and the development of the Councils of the Popular Power of Fishermen, Fishermen, Aquaculturists and Aquaculturists (CONPPA).
For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, confirmed the fundamental role of fish production in government plans for the supply of protein in urban areas. For his part, Professor José Luis Berroterán highlighted the efficiency of the conuco, stating: “The conuco is highly efficient and permanent because there are perennial, annual and short-cycle plants all year round, which offers the possibility of producing and supplying food every month.”
In this perspective, the national coordinator of the Pueblo a Pueblo Plan, Laura Lorenzo, noted that the current productive model promoted the transition to agroecological agriculture. According to official records, the Plan for Mass Formation in Popular Planning exceeded 6.3 million participants trained throughout the country.
