The Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Freddy Ñáñez, reported this Saturday that the coordinated work of the emergency forces and the community controlled two forest fires that occurred in the country.

Ñáñez explained, through his Telegram channel, that the first event occurred in Caracas, “where the Firefighters and Civil Protection controlled a low-lying vegetation fire on Av. Boyacá del Waraira Repano, protecting about 10,000 m².”

The second environmental contingency, he reported, was controlled by the Fire Department of the University of Carabobo (UC), working together with security forces and residents of El Café Hill, located in the Venezuelan state, an action that prevented damage to residential areas.

“The Mayor of the Naguanagua municipality, Elizabeth Niño, confirmed the stabilization,” said Ñáñez, recognizing “the efforts of all the teams and the community. These cases reinforce our call to conscience: #ElFuegoNoEsJuego. A spark can cause great destruction,” he said.

Finally, he urged the population to report any anomaly or situation of this type, through 0800- AMBIENT. “Together we protect our natural spaces,” he emphasized.
