In the framework of World Recycling Day, the Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Freddy Ñáñez, recognized the impact of more than 700 public, private, communal and social organization experiences that promote the use of solid waste throughout the national territory.

Through a post on his Telegram channel, Ñáñez highlighted the work of community initiatives, enterprises, schools, companies, waste pickers and environmental movements that have assumed joint responsibility for consumption and waste patterns in the country.

“Recycling starts long before a machine. It begins when a community decides to organize itself, separate waste, recover materials and prevent tons of plastic, glass, paper or metal from ending up polluting rivers, soils and cities,” he said.

In this regard, he emphasized that each territory must ask itself what to do with its own waste and how to convert part of it into new products, employment, organization and environmental awareness.

The Minister recalled that they are preparing for the First National Circular Economy Seminar. “Each territory must ask itself what to do with its own waste and how to convert part of it into new products, employment, organization and environmental awareness,” he said.
