Speaking at the National Encounter for Promoting Popular Communication for the New Era, the sectoral vice-president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, assured that popular communicators were responsible for writing the story of the events of April 2002.
From the Teresa Carreño Theater, she stated that “memory has power, because it can only be exercised with the word, and then when we speak, when we remember, when we communicate that memory, it is embodied, it comes back to life, it becomes a perspective”.
He added that “after 22 years, all those who built that break in national history have a name and surname, and neither the puppets nor the puppeteer has changed, because behind them there is precisely what began to take shape 200 years ago: The Monroe Doctrine against the possibility and decisive will of our liberators to set us free and to build a homeland, a land where we can live, where we can develop, where we can be happy”.
