From the Portuguese state, the Minister of the People's Power of Foreign Trade, Coromoto Godoy, accompanied the process of loading the export of 30 containers of green coffee bound for the United States. The shipment was managed by the Botalón Group company and coffee roaster, located in the Araure municipality.
Later, the holder of this portfolio also accompanied the operation for the shipment of mung beans, an export of three containers to the Philippines through the company Agrícola Latina, which is located in the municipality of Santa Rosalía. “It's the diversification of destinations,” said the minister, who added that the high quality of mung beans produced in the country surprises markets in Asia and Europe.
“We must tell the country that this is the product of public policies, of a great commitment by the State; but it is also the result of the commitment to economic transformation on the part of the private sector,” he said, who stressed the importance of increasingly incorporating small and medium-sized producers and the communal economy into the export process.
Minister Godoy asserted that we must see the face of exports because behind every export there is an enormous human effort of men and women who do not give up, despite the economic blockade and unilateral coercive measures. “Venezuela is going for those big international markets,” he said.
He stressed that the policy of Producing, Supplying and Exporting with sovereignty is not a motto, it is a reality that materializes in every container that comes out into the world and that will continue to increase in the year 2026 of the Admirable Challenge.
Godoy highlighted the export potential of the Portuguese state, which accounts for 74% of the country's agricultural production and explained that its main export items are coffee, sesame and mung beans.
For her part, the president of the Venezuelan Coffee Corporation, Josmary Borjas, said that Venezuela continues to strengthen its Non-Oil Export Engine with the help of producers and primary production.
