Minister Padrino López: Plan República operation is already underway for the 25-M elections

The sectoral vice-president of Defense and Sovereignty, Vladímir Padrino López, reported this Friday, May 16, that the Operation of Plan República, on the occasion of the legislative and regional elections on May 25, is already under way.

This was announced by the Ministry of Popular Power for Defense (MPPD), in a review published on its website, in which the statement was given by Padrino López, from Fuerte Tiuna, Caracas, during the celebrations of the 215th Anniversary of the ministerial body and the 80th anniversary of the General Inspectorate of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).

He stressed that “today we have a task in place, it is the Operation of the Republic Plan that is already under way, with the simulation we have done and with all the electoral events we have carried out and this one has to be impeccable”.

“I ask the entire Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the entire defense sector, for all the support of the Strategic Operational Command of the FANB to develop its Republic Plan without news as always and when I ask for support it is: personal, physical, moral and support so that everything goes ahead,” he said.

He also took advantage of the occasion and the commemoration of Family Day to express his happiness at the return to Venezuela and to her home of the girl Maikelys Espinoza, who had been kidnapped for more than a year by the United States immigration authorities.

In this regard, he recalled the hardships that this Venezuelan family has experienced and reflected on this regrettable fact. “You analyze what is going on in the world? That when we go to the highest human rights institutions they are simply silent, as if this were something normal. This is not a crime against Venezuela, this is a crime against humanity,” he lamented.

Padrino López warned of the revival of extremist ideologies and warned that Nazism and fascism are reappearing in various regions of the world.

“We are not going to allow that supremacist creation that has done so much harm and that carries as much hate embodied by humanity as Nazism was to be reproduced in the world again, we have to raise our voices as Venezuelans and reject it absolutely,” he said.

“It is a crime to detach your baby from their biological mother, to mistreat and kidnap and send Venezuelan migrants to concentration camps, it's an aberration that has no name and that's why we have to make this victory against Nazi-Fascism 80 years ago alive today because those demons are intensifying again,” he emphasized.
