The Minister of Popular Power for Communes and Social Movements, Guy Vernáez, stressed that the National Popular Consultation scheduled to take place in the country, next Sunday, April 21, does not belong to a political sector but to the entire Venezuelan people.
In a live broadcast on social networks, Vernáez recalled that during the electoral event, all Venezuelans over 15 years of age who live in a community will be able to exercise their right to vote, according to the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), in a press release published on its website.
Regarding the event, he emphasized that April 21, the date of the aforementioned Consultation, “is the demonstration of popular strength, the demonstration that the organizations are really there.”
He also stated that the consultation will allow the Venezuelan people to decide which project the community requires in the immediate future, based on the diagnosis of needs raised in citizen meetings.
In this regard, Vernáez called on all voters to know which Community Council they live in, in order to identify the proposals that will be put to the vote and the electoral centers available for them to exercise their right to vote.
He also specified that the National Electoral Council (CNE) will set up 15,617 electoral centers across the country, so that people can mobilize to whoever is within their Commune or communal electoral circuit.
