Minister Villegas announced the winners of the National Culture Award 2024-2025

Through his Telegram channel, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, announced the winners of the National Culture Award 2024-2025, which recognized outstanding Venezuelan creators in different artistic and cultural disciplines.
In this regard, he highlighted that the winners are the following: Efraín “Chepín” López in Plastic Arts; Rosaura Funes in Crafts; Francisco Javier Pimentel Malaussena in Architecture; Carmelo Raydán Ríos in Photography; and Tarik Souki Farías in Film. Also awarded were Oswaldo Barreto Monroy in Circus; Eufracia Zambrano in Traditional Knowledge; Mitiliano Díaz in Popular Culture; Armando J. Sequera in Literature; Mirla Alcibiades in Humanities; Víctor “Papiro” Armas in Music; Miguel Issa in Dance; and Ylando Conde in Theater.
He also indicated that the jury awarded honorable mentions to Nicolasito Agüero, Fanny Morillo, Domingo Rogelio León, Orlando Paredes, Juana Evariste Tinoco, Valmore Nieves, María del Valle Ramírez and the brothers Juan José and Juan Ramón Escalona.
Villegas also announced the winners of the Venezuelan Artistic Glories Award, including Leonel Durán, Estelita del Llano, Juan Manuel Laguardia “Fullchola”, Leonor Fuguett, David H. Cedeño, Chucho Acevedo, Nery Jhonson and Guillermo E. González Briceño.
The minister congratulated the winners for their contributions to the diversity, cohesion and cultural strength of Venezuela. “Thank you for your enormous contributions to the diversity, cohesion and cultural strength of Venezuela, our beloved homeland,” he said.
