The Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC) has opened registrations for the National Literature Biennials 2026.
This call represents a fundamental platform for playwrights and researchers to make their talent known to a wide audience. The contest seeks to strengthen the production of unpublished texts that enrich the collection of performing arts throughout the nation.
There are two main categories designed for table creators. The Apacuana Biennial hosts free-themed dramaturgy works, providing a unique opportunity for creative experimentation. At the same time, the César Rengifo Biennial focuses on the mention of theatrical rehearsal, an ideal space for those who develop critical and theoretical studies on the current scene.
Recognition for those selected includes a financial incentive and the award of an official diploma. In addition to these benefits, the winners will obtain the publication of their texts through the Monte Ávila Editores publishing house.
As a special distinction, the National Theater Company will undertake the editing of the winning play in the mention of dramaturgy for its professional exhibition.
The deadline for receiving manuscripts is June 30, 2026. Authors must check the full rules of the competition on the official links before submitting their proposals. This is an unmissable event for all professionals who want to project their careers and leave a mark on the country's literary and theatrical history.
