The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Water Care, has reactivated the drinking water treatment and distribution plant in the Caigua parish, in the Simón Bolívar municipality of the state of Anzoátegui, for the benefit of more than 12 inhabitants.

The project was funded by the Barcelona mayor's office, to distribute water directly by pipeline to the Casco Central, Pueblo Nuevo, Altos de Belén, Cemetery, El Estadio and Caiguita sectors, according to a press release from the ministerial office.

This plant will also be supplied to other communities with tankers, with the activation of a filling point arranged in the facilities.

The information shows that the project began two months ago and included the rehabilitation of old equipment and the incorporation of new ones to the water collection, treatment, pumping and distribution systems in that rural parish. The adduction of the distribution network was improved, a new tank raised to more than 20 meters was built with a capacity for 180,000 liters of water, and the treatment pools, filtering units and chemical dosing units were recovered to ensure purification.
