Ministry of Agriculture opens reception of samples for the V International Coffee Meeting

The Ministry of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands (MPPAPT) informs coffee farmers that, this Friday, May 1st, the process of receiving green coffee samples begins throughout the country, as part of the preparation for the edition of the V International Meeting of Venezuelan Specialty Coffee (EICEV 2026), an event announced to recognize the high quality of the production of the sector in the country.

The call, which seeks to capture the best grains in the territory, will be open until May 30 and will serve as a pre-phase for the international meeting to be held on July 10, 11 and 12, according to the Latest News portal.

To participate, interested parties must submit lots of 23 kilos. These samples will be evaluated by a jury of certified tasters, both national and international, who will carry out the sensory analysis to determine which ones stand out for their quality and specialty profile.

This event not only works as a contest, but also as a global showcase to recognize the technical effort and dedication of Venezuelan producers. The organization has set up eight delivery points or strategically distributed circuits to facilitate the reception of batches.

Producers can visit the centers located in the Capital District and in the states of Carabobo, Mérida, Monagas, Lara, Portuguesa, Táchira and Trujillo. With these logistics, EICEV 2026 is preparing to once again project the high-end of Venezuelan coffee to the world market.

Centres enabled for reception:

In a press release, the Ministry of People's Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, specifies the points where the reception will take place:

Circuit 1: Falcón, Lara, Yaracuy, Zulia. The reception will take place at the headquarters of the Social Production Unit (UPS) Nicolás Hurtado Barrio (Café Venezuela), in Barquisimeto.

Circuit 2: Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Monagas and Sucre. To receive the lots, the Leonardo Infante Collection Center (ENC) was set up in the Caripe municipality, Monagas state.

Circuit 3: Barinas and Portuguesa. You can register the sample at the Valle Verde Coffee Plant, in Biscucuy, Portuguesa.

Circuit 4: Mérida. The entity's producers should go to the headquarters of Aprocandes, in Santa Cruz de Mora.

Circuit 5: Trujillo. Headquarters of the UPS Argimiro Gabaldón (Café Venezuela), Boconó.

Circuit 6: Táchira. Cafea headquarters, Rubio.

Circuit 7: made up of the states of Aragua, Carabobo and Guárico. The Empresa Nacional del Café, S.A., Guacara, was set up as headquarters for the reception.

Finally, for circuit 8, consisting of the Capital District and the states of La Guaira and Miranda, the headquarters of the Fama de América plant has been set up, in La Yaguara, Caracas.
