The Ministry for Communes and Social Movements called on all organized sectors of the country to participate in the nomination phase for the National Popular Consultation 2026, which sought to get each community to debate internally, identify their collective priorities and propose specific projects that respond to the realities of their environment to raise the quality of life of the inhabitants.
The communal authorities emphasized that any idea aimed at common welfare and territorial benefit can be transformed into a project eligible for direct funding and execution. In addition, productive initiatives are prioritized to strengthen the communal economy, the improvement of health and education infrastructure.
The range of options for applications covered the fundamental drivers of social development and essential public services in each location. Among the key axes that can be presented are water projects (aimed at improving access, storage and distribution networks) and road projects (focused on repairing roads and mobility accesses).
