Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture activates plastic collection plan in Morrocy Cays

Through the “Fish Your Plastic” plan, the Ministry of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture began work dedicated to the preservation of Los Juanes Cay in the Morrocoy National Park , in the Silva municipality.

In this regard, fishermen from Falcón state indicated that the day calls for awareness about caring for the environment. “We have to take action on the matter, it was something that got out of control and it's fair to set a precedent for better regulations,” said Albín Colina, one of the fishermen consulted according to a local press review.

This is a day through which garbage collection is encouraged in this and the other cays of Morrocoy National Park, while tourists are urged to take their waste away after a day at the beach.
