The Ministry of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture provided credits to artisanal fishermen in the state of Zulia through the Venezuelan Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (FONPESCA).
These are reimbursable credits for fishing gear, equivalent to 600 inputs, including: hooks, nets, propels, buoys, among other tools that will benefit 750 fishermen grouped into 13 Councils of the Popular Power of Fishermen and Fishermen Aquaculturists and Aquaculturists (CONPPA), and that will allow the revival of fish production in the entity.
Juan Carlos Loyo, head of the ministerial portfolio, explained that the objective is “to support fishing and aquaculture people with a funding policy. We hope that each of these 600 inputs will help their fishing, help to improve their conditions and that after the next task they will do well.”
