In an effort to consolidate the economic development of organized popular power, the Workshop on Strategic and Methodological Guidelines for Socio-productive Projects was held, a key meeting that brought together more than 350 participants, committed to the growth of the fishing sector in the llanera region.

The day was led by prominent authorities, who reaffirmed the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to Popular Power, including Juan Carlos Loyo, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture; Adán Chávez, Governor of Barinas and Luis Enrique Escobar, Mayor of the Obispos municipality.

This workshop provided technical and methodological tools to strengthen projects born from the ground up. The event included the active participation of the Councils of Fishermen and Fishermen, Aquaculturists and Aquaculturists (CONPPA) that live in the town.

Loyo stressed that following instructions from the President in Charge, Delcy Rodríguez, progress is being made in activating productive development in the town as a point to move the regional economy, according to a press release from the Ministry of Fisheries.

He also explained that it seeks to find the right technical conditions so that the crop that the organized people want to do well, whether in cachama, Coporo and Tilapia, has a solid base of support that contributes to the economic development of the nation.

With 22 active projects, Barinas currently accounts for 6% of the total number of projects approved at the national level in this sector. This figure reaffirms the strategic importance of the state in national planning, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the execution of public policies aimed at producing quality protein for the people.
