Ministry of Health inspects rehabilitation progress at Los Magallanes Hospital in Catia

The sector vice-president of Health, Ecosocialism, Science and Technology, Isabel Iturria, carried out a technical inspection at the Los Magallanes Hospital in Catia to verify progress in the comprehensive plan for the recovery of basic services being carried out at that medical center as part of an articulated effort to strengthen the National Public Health System.

From social networks, the sectoral vice-presidency specifies that during the tour of the healthcare center, a working table was held in which representatives of the Sectorial Vice Presidency for Public Works and Services, the Ministries of Water, Electric Energy and the Mayor's Office of Caracas, among other organizations, participated, which are constantly monitoring the work of improving public services in hospitals, ensuring that each phase of the technical intervention is carried out rigorously and efficiently.

He also highlighted among the priorities the implementation of a plan to improve the quality and supply of drinking water, rehabilitation of bathrooms and lighting on several floors and perimeter of the hospital, as well as the repair of elevators and maintenance of electrical backup systems (UPS) to protect critical equipment and emergency power plants.

The plan also contemplates a humanistic vision to eliminate architectural barriers and adapt ramps for people with reduced mobility.
