Ministry of Health remodels Dr. José María Vargas outpatient clinic in Maturín

The Bolivarian Government of Monagas state has begun work to recover and expand the Dr. José María Vargas Type III Specialized Outpatient Clinic. This health center is located in the Los Guaritos I sector, belonging to the Los Godos Integral Community Health Area (ASIC), in the municipality of Maturín.

According to a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Health, demolition work is being carried out in the outpatient clinic, removal of toilets and air conditioners, topographic survey, removal of doors and protection of medical equipment. The objective is to optimize spaces and ensure decent medical care for the more than 153,000 inhabitants of the area.

This is a comprehensive project that involves the construction and reorganization of areas, the activation of security and emergency systems. Emergency areas, triage, prenatal consultation, pediatrics and family planning, among others, are being treated and rehabilitated.
