Ministry of the Communes announces National Plan for Mass Training for 1.7 million spokespersons

The Ministry of Popular Power for the Communes presented this Friday, from the Hall of the Murals at its main headquarters, the National Plan for the Mass Training of Spokeswomen and Spokesmen of the People's Power. This strategic initiative seeks to deepen participatory democracy in the 5,336 communes across the country.

The program includes a comprehensive four-month training process aimed at strengthening self-government, local production and the efficient management of each territory, details a press release from the ministerial portfolio

The methodology selected for this historic deployment is cascade training, which will allow a total of 1.7 million spokespersons to be accredited throughout the country. The academic process, supported by the Bolivarian University of the Communes (UNACOM), totals 320 hours of learning that combine 124 hours of virtual training with 196 hours of direct community practice.

The authorities project that by the end of this training cycle, 27,680 productive projects will have been formulated under the modality of accompanied internships.
