Producers from the community Behind La Vela in the Cruz Salmerón Acosta municipality of Sucre state, benefited from 23 agricultural grants, led by Jhoanna Carrillo, head of the Ministry of Popular Power for Urban Agriculture (MINPPAU), as part of the Bolivarian Government's actions to produce agrotoxic-free food for the Venezuelan people.
In this regard, Minister Carrillo proposed to the mayor of the Cruz Salmerón Acosta municipality to raise the productive issue with an annual plant and animal plan that allows the municipality to sustain itself and supply it.
“We are going to generate an organized production plan to supply communities, we are going to evaluate the quantities of production needed, the available resources, land and water”, as well as the importance of planting at the right times.
Finally, Carrillo raised the need to evaluate the amount of production needed and the resources available. “We need to know our land in greater depth”, so he called on the productive council to activate a spokesperson in each sector. “Next year has to be one of greening,” he concluded.
For her part, Johanne Barceló, state director of Minppau, explained that each funding contains a chicory, a scarlet, 100 meters of half-inch hose, a chopping machete, a 20-liter sprayer and a kit of eggplant, sweet pepper and cucumber seeds.
