The authorities of the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism (MINTUR) evaluated new strategies to strengthen the tourist offer of the state of Táchira, during a virtual meeting held with representatives of mayors and regional bodies linked to the sector.

The meeting was led by the Deputy Ministers of National Tourism, Nadia Mignogna, and of Tourism Projects and Works, Claudia Domínguez, who reviewed initiatives aimed at promoting tourism products in the Andean region, especially in areas such as birdwatching and ecotourism.

In addition, infrastructure proposals aimed at the conditioning, beautification and improvement of spaces in different tourist attractions of the entity were analyzed, with the aim of strengthening the visitor experience and consolidating new destinations.

The authorities also highlighted the opportunities offered by the Venezuela-Colombia binational corridor to promote commercial exchange and the mobilization of tourists, as part of a strategy to boost regional economic activity.

The working group continued the agenda developed by the Minister of Tourism, Daniella Cabello, during her visit to the state on June 2, when she inspected the Lobatera Pools and held meetings with communities to advance plans for the adaptation of spaces, training of human talent and tourism promotion.
