Miranda Government inaugurated the entity's first communal zinc sheet factory in Acevedo

The Governor of the state of Miranda, Elio Serrano, inaugurated the first communal factory for roofing sheets of zinc sheets in the municipality of Acevedo.

According to information issued by the Government, the new industrial plant has a production capacity of more than 1,000 sheets in a 6-hour working day, “which will allow direct service to 36,000 families in the municipalities of the municipality, as well as to various sectors of the adjacent communities that require roof replacement.”

“We are in the presence of what is organized Popular Power. What has been taken as a strategy for governing is the right thing to do: that power be transferred to the people. This mechanism has achieved that, with little, we can achieve a lot in the midst of the conditions that have hit the country in recent years,” Serrano said.

He also announced that the Government of Miranda will begin delivering resources corresponding to the second projects approved in the National Popular Consultation on March 8.

For his part, the mayor of the Acevedo municipality pointed out that this project was possible after achieving the unification of the 274 communal councils of the town into a single work block. “We are taking a firm step towards the industrialization of the municipality,” he said.

In this regard, the municipal authority announced that, under this same commonwealth scheme and in direct response to the requests of the communities, a block factory and a mattress factory managed by the communes themselves will soon be inaugurated.
