The Miranda state delegation won the championship of the XIX National Student Sports Games 2025, dominating the medal table with 31 gold, 40 silver and 48 bronze medals (119) and reaffirming itself as a sports power by winning a multidisciplinary event for the third consecutive time.

Caracas ranked second, registering 30 gold, 23 silver and 25 bronze medals (78); Yaracuy took third place after climbing to first place on the podium 22 times, accompanied by 19 second and 31 third places (72).

The champions dominated with authority in key disciplines such as swimming and athletics combined with important medals in joint sports such as volleyball and kickingball.

Among the athletes who became known for their important performances with the entity, Emiliana Sthory stood out, who with her performance in swimming won six medals in total, including three gold medals in and one silver in individual events, as well as two golds in relay.

For his part, Juan Asuaje set a national record by swimming the 400 meters freestyle with a time of 4:13.31.

With these and other performances, Miranda qualified in swimming with 12 gold, 13 silver and six bronzes.

Powerful auction

Another of those who shone was the volleyball player Josué Escalante, 1.81 meters tall and 14 years of age, who excelled on the court for his power and ability to send his shots to the opposite field, which resulted in gold in men's.

Artistic gymnastics added three golds, one silver and one bronze, and to close the sports together, kickingball also brought a gold medal.

Parathletics was also present at this event and Miranda demonstrated the fruits of the work of adapted sports by winning five gold and two bronze for visual impairment.
