The president of the Nevado Mission, Maigualida Vargas, reported that 12,579 animals were treated in 153 days in several municipalities of Miranda during the month of January.
The balance sheet for the first month of 2026 includes 2,333 medical procedures, including clinical evaluations, treatments and preventive actions. In addition, 2,702 deworming was carried out and 2,101 vaccines were administered in urban and rural communities.
In the area of responsible control, 446 population control procedures were carried out. In addition, 251 veterinary emergencies and 758 general consultations were registered for the diagnosis and treatment of various pathologies in domestic animals, according to a press release from the Government of Miranda.
The social component of the program totaled 2,209 hygiene services and 9,381 diet-related interventions, including dietary counseling, weight assessment and supplementation, depending on priority cases.
In total, the figures exceed 20,000 services provided in the month of January, which supports the continuity of the animal protection plan in the entity. “At Miranda, we are advancing a model of preventive veterinary care, free and close to the town. Every day is a firm step in animal protection and in the well-being of our communities,” said Vargas.
