Monagas applied for more than 1,300 projects for the Popular Consultation on July 12

More than 1,300 projects were nominated in the state of Monagas to participate in the second National Popular Consultation 2026, which is scheduled for July 12 across the country.

For three days, the organized communities held meetings to debate and select the seven proposals that will be presented by each of the 199 communes, both consolidated and under construction, of the eastern entity.

The process is part of the day of citizen participation led by the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, with the purpose of allowing communities to define priority initiatives for local development, within the framework of the Plan of the Seven Transformations (7T).

The head of Communes in Monagas, Julio Castillo, reported that last Monday, June 8, the activation of the Automated Electoral Solutions System (SASEL) began, through which the projects selected by each commune will be registered during the week.

Castillo stressed that the process allows Popular Power to participate in decision-making on works and actions aimed at meeting the needs of communities, through consultation mechanisms and popular organization.
