Monagas women donate breast milk to support children affected by the earthquake

More than 80 women have joined the “Drops of Hope” campaign, which seeks to collect the largest amount of human breast milk and thus support nursing children who were victims of the double earthquake that occurred last June 24 in the country.

For this purpose, a lactarium was placed in the main corridor of the Dr. Manuel Núñez Tovar University Hospital, from where the first pasteurization was carried out with almost 7 thousand CC of collected milk, according to the local press.

It is expected that in the next few hours they will carry out a second process to provide the donation from the state of Monagas and with which they will contribute to feeding the children.
