Medical sources and international organizations confirmed this Wednesday that at least 112 children died as a result of starvation and malnutrition in Gaza, bringing the total number of deaths due to hunger to 269 since October 2023, as a result of a deliberate policy of “hunger engineering and slow death” implemented against the civilian population by Israel's Zionism, which maintains a strict blockade on access to food and medicine.

In addition, more than 40,000 infants suffer from acute malnutrition and are at risk of dying, while another 100,000 children and patients face serious nutritional deficiencies.

The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that levels of malnutrition have reached alarming levels, with nearly one in five children under five in Gaza City suffering from acute malnutrition.

Likewise, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) warned that every day 112 children fall into the category of malnutrition in the enclave.
