More than 150 passengers were rescued in Baluchistan, Pakistan, following the hijacking of the Jaffar Express train by the insurgent group Baluchistan Liberation Army (BLA).

Pakistani military sources reported that 155 civilians have been released and 27 attackers killed, while the operation to free the remaining hostages continues.

The attackers, who hold more than 400 passengers, use suicide bombers wearing explosive vests along with some hostages, complicating the operation.
