More than 1,500 people participated in the “Let's go to the Museums” activity

More than 1,500 people participated this Sunday in the “Let's Go to Museums: Walk + 5K Culture” activity to celebrate International Museum Day.

According to information issued by the Ministry of Culture, the activity included low-impact exercises, educational talks and traditional events such as the Burriquitas of Venezuela, the stilts and the Calipso of El Callao.

The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Raúl Cazal, stressed that the event allowed citizens to rediscover the works of fundamental teachers such as Armando Reverón , Jesús Soto and Carlos Cruz-Diez, in what was a break of conceptual barriers.

“That spell and that balm that artistic expressions generate was achieved.”

This unprecedented initiative was promoted by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC) and the National Museums Foundation (FMN), with the support of the Mayor's Office of Caracas and the Marca País Institute.
