More than 1,500 Sanjuaneros participate in the National and International Meeting of San Juanes

More than 1,500 Sanjuaneros
participated in the XXVIII National and International Meeting of San Juanes
held in the municipality of Naguanagua, Carabobo state, an activity that brought together brotherhoods, societies and musical groups
dedicated to preserving this cultural and religious tradition.
The day began in the La Campiña
sector with the traditional sangueo and included the participation of
more than 30 brotherhoods and 36 musical groups that performed songs,
sirens and various rhythmic events linked to the festive cycle of San
Juan Bautista, reported the Single Cultural Authority of Carabobo, Nathaly Bustamante.
During the meeting,
Sanjuanera Yalitza Carabalí highlighted the value of this celebration as a
space for family union and brotherhood that communities expect every year during the month of June.
For his part, Richard Mendoza, president of the
Parranda de San Juan Bautista de Tarapío, stressed that the activity was born of faith and collective devotion.
This year's edition
reaffirmed its international projection with the presence of delegations
from Colombia and Cuba, as well as representatives from Aragua, Miranda,
Yaracuy, Falcón, Cojedes and the Capital District.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, in conjunction with the Government of Carabobo, through the Secretariat for the Development of Culture and Art, and the Mayor's Office of Naguanagua.
