Through the National Vegetation Control Plan, the National Electricity Corporation (CORPOELEC) carried out preventive maintenance on electrical substations and generation plants in the state of Miranda, with the objective of optimizing the generation and transmission processes that guarantee electricity supply to more than 2,650,000 inhabitants.
These actions, according to a press release, involved the weeding of 85.19 hectares, corresponding to 53 substations and three plants, during the second quarter of the year. This deployment makes it possible to reinforce operational safety in the technical tasks associated with the National Electrical System (SEN).
The maintenance addressed generation, transmission and distribution infrastructures, with voltage levels ranging from 12.49 kV to 765 kV, impacting service reliability in the municipalities of Andrés Bello, Baruta, Brión, Buroz, Carrizal, Chacao, Cristóbal Rojas, El Hatillo, Guaicaipura, Gual, Independencia, Tomás Lander, Los Salías, Páez, Paz Castillo, Plaza, Rafael Urdaneta and Zamora.
