More than 55,000 people have died in Gaza as a result of Israeli military aggression

Health authorities reported that since October 7, 2023, at least 55,432 people have died and 128,923 have been injured as a result of the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip. Most of the victims are women and minors, according to figures quoted by the official Palestinian news agency.

Reports also warn that thousands of people are still under the rubble. In the past few hours, Israeli forces were accused of killing 20 civilians and injuring more than 200 after opening fire on citizens gathered near a food distribution center.

According to Prensa Latina, since March, the Gazan authorities have been denouncing a total blockade that prevents the entry of medicines, fuel and essential products.

The commissioner general of the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, indicated that restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid managed by the agency persist, despite the existence of supplies ready to enter the enclave. He also warned of critical fuel shortages, which complicates the operation of essential services such as health and water supply.
