Morocco blocked two boats with migrants heading to the Canary Islands

Last Wednesday, two boats carrying 131 migrants, including 27 women and eight minors, were intercepted by the Moroccan Armed Forces off the coast of the city of El Aaiún, in occupied Western Sahara.

In a statement from the Armed Forces published on his account on the social network X, he said that the migrants, all of sub-Saharan origin, were heading to the Canary Islands.

Telesur explained that a Royal Navy patrol assisted the people, who were taken to El Aaiún to make them available to the Gendarmerie and carry out the corresponding procedures.
