MP confirms death by hanging of those involved in the PDVSA-Cripto case

The Public Ministry confirmed the death, by hanging, of citizen Marino José Lugo Aguilar, arrested on the occasion of an arrest warrant requested in the investigation of the PDVSA-Cripto case.

Through its account on the social network X, the prosecutor's office indicated that officials specialized in pathology, forensic medicine and criminalism attached to the General Directorate for Criminal Investigation Support of the Public Ministry, went to the respective detention center to recognize the site of the event, where they first established that the death occurred by hanging.

The MP added that Marino José Lugo Aguilar would be charged with crimes of Appropriation or Distraction of Public Property, Concert for the Conclusion of Contracts, Evasion of Procedures, Controls or Restrictions on Tenders; Money Laundering, Treason to the Fatherland and Association.
