MPPC inaugurated the CNT Theater Documentation Center

As part of the Venezuelan Theater Festival (FTV) 2025, the Theater Documentation Center of the National Theater Company (CNT) was inaugurated on the 15th floor of the north tower of the Simon Bolivar Center, in Caracas, headquarters of the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture ( MPPC) and its affiliated entities.

This new space is dedicated to the protection and research of national scenic memory. The center houses significant bibliographic material from the CNT, as well as important collections that collect the work of fundamental authors of Venezuelan theater.

Among the figures, whose works and documents are part of this archive, are Pedro Riera, Leonardo Azparren and José Gabriel Núñe z, thus enriching the collection available to researchers, theater students and the general public.

Those interested in consulting the texts and collections can do so in person, by appointment, on Thursdays in the afternoon.

The CNT's research coordinator, Yaritza Medina, commented that the inauguration of this Center represents a long-awaited dream of the institution . “Making it a reality is wonderful,” he said.

He also highlighted the alliance established with the National Library for the organization and proper management of this new documentary archive, located in the administrative offices of the CNT.
