MPPC invited to celebrate the International Day of Books and Reading in Caracas

The Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC) extended the invitation to celebrate this April 23 the International Day of Books and Reading, with activities in the Luis Britto García reading room of the Romulo Gallegos Center for Latin American Studies (CELARG), in Caracas, starting at 10:00 a.m.

At this meeting, the discussion “Books and Reading in the Bolivarian Revolution” will be held, by the Deputy Minister of Promotion for the Cultural Economy and president of the National Book Center (CENAL), Raúl Cazal.

In addition, the winners of the 1st Teresa de la Parra National Youth Competition, by CENAL, will be announced, and the verdict of the XVIII Monte Ávila Editores Contest for Unpublished Authors will be announced.

The public can also enjoy a poetic recital with the renowned troubadour, composer and musical producer Leonel Ruiz, in homage to the writers Earle Herrera and Aquiles Nazoa.
