Mukumbarí cable car broke visitor record on January 5

The Mukumbarí cable car system, in the state of Mérida, received 2,683 users on January 5, 2025, to reach visitors in one day, according to a post on the Instagram account @mukumbari.
In the aforementioned publication, it was detailed that tourists were able to enjoy the first snowfall recorded at Pico Espejo, the last station of the Cable Car System.
“The first snow of the year made this day a unique experience. A white canvas over the Andes, a spectacle that will remain etched in memory”, indicates the publication.
Mukumbarí comprises five stations, each of which offers different options to the user, including: gastronomy, souvenir shops, visits to museums, extreme sports (swing and rappelling), as well as mule rides, among others.
The Mukumbarí stations are: Barinitas (first station), Montaña (second station), La Aguada (third station), Loma Redonda (fourth station), and last Pico Espejo station.
