The Minister of People's Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, announced the end of the maintenance work scheduled for the first half of 2026 on the Mukumbarí Cable Car System, noting that after the success of the technical work, the main tourist attraction in the state of Mérida resumes commercial operations starting this Friday, May 8.

He also indicated that the project involved the participation of a multidisciplinary team from Venezolana de Teleféricos (VENTEL) and engineering experts. In addition, he noted that more than 40 workers performed highly complex tasks, such as the replacement of the tractor cable in the Barinitas-La Montaña section, the installation of restraint systems and comprehensive mechanical adjustments, actions that guarantee operational safety in the four sections that make up the system.

The head of the tourism portfolio stressed that these improvements respond to the commitment of the National Executive to the modernization of infrastructure and excellence in service.

In turn, Cabello took the opportunity to invite Venezuelan families to celebrate Mother's Day at the facilities, which are in optimal conditions for the enjoyment of national and international visitors.
