The Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, through the Mission Cultural Foundation and the Armando Reverón Museum of Contemporary Art, will present the interdisciplinary gala “Women in Dance”, as part of the celebration of the International Day of Dance, as a proposal that brings together different languages of the movement on the same stage.
The project, conceived by traditional dance dancer Carolina Veracierta, pays homage to the diversity of the women's movement through a journey through four expressions: traditional, classical, contemporary and urban dance, in a position that seeks to integrate the academic and the popular as part of the same artistic narrative.
The work is structured in different choreographic moments that begin with “The Origin”, dedicated to traditional dance and cultural roots, followed by “The Structure and the Air”, focused on classical and neoclassical ballet, and “La Libertad”, where contemporary dance explores the emotional expression of the body.
Later, the gala moves to “The City and the Rhythm”, a segment inspired by hip-hop and street jazz, which connects dance with urban identity and the energy of the city. The closing will be in charge of “La Confluencia”, a final piece in which all styles are integrated into the scene.
The function will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 6:00 in the afternoon, at the Armando Reverón Contemporary Art Museum, with free admission for the public.
