Nahum Fernández: Recreational activities will serve 299 communal circuits

This Saturday, authorities of the national government, together with representatives of the mayor's office of Caracas, took a tour of Paseo Los Próceres, one of the 47 public spaces where recreational activities are carried out as part of the celebration of Carnival 2026.

“In Caracas, 47 spaces were selected, including parks, sports centers and squares to carry out recreational activities for 299 Community Circuits,” said the head of government of Caracas, Nahum Fernádez.

He added that between Saturday and Tuesday there will be “swimming pools, parade of floats, face painting and many activities for the healthy recreation of Venezuelan families.” In this regard, he stated that “we are a government that guarantees maximum happiness for the people (...) All the communal circuits of the capital are activated with the celebration of carnival festivities, as well as multiple public spaces for the enjoyment of citizens”.

For her part, the mayor, Carmen Melendez, said that there will be troupes, various cantatas, to celebrate the Carnival for Peace. “ Community Carnivals for Peace 2026, takes place in all parishes, communes, squares (...) Children enjoying candies, games, swimming pools, inflatable mattresses where we are taking care of children and families,” he said.
