National Assembly approves appointment of ambassadors to multilateral organizations

The first vice-president of the instance, deputy Ilenia Medina, appointed Alexander Yánez, Hector Constant

The Standing Committee on Foreign Policy, Sovereignty and Integration of the National Assembly (AN) approved the appointment of Héctor Constant, as ambassador to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, in the Netherlands.

In addition, the first vice-president of the body, deputy Ilenia Medina, announced the appointment of Alexander Yánez, as ambassador permanent representative of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), and of Marilyn Di Luca to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Medina emphasized the experience and knowledge of the diplomatic area of these officials to make known the truth of Venezuela. And secondly, to the Republic, “which unquestionably makes us proud,” he said.
