With a minute of applause, the National Assembly (AN) approved this Thursday, March 5, by qualified majority, the Honor Agreement to the memory of Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, commemorating the 13th anniversary of his planting.

The event evoked his legacy as a fact deeply rooted in the hearts of the Venezuelan people, recalling that a day like today he went to another plane to accompany and care for eternity.

The president of the Legislative Branch, Jorge Rodríguez, requested the gesture from the parliamentarians who approved by show of hands the bill presented by the deputy Rodbexa Poleo.

“It is a fact of our hearts, that on a day like today we move to another plane, to take care of ourselves from another plane, to accompany us from another plane, greatness made man, strength, courage, patience, optimism, fierceness in combat and tenderness in victory. It is in our hearts and will be there forever,” said Rodríguez, asking for the minute of applause just at the exact time when he left for eternity.

He also stressed that it is certain that parliamentarians and revolutionaries “will continue with him, with his example, we will continue to defend, care for and develop his legacy. Live forever, Hugo Chávez, our eternal Commander!”

Previously, Deputy Rodbexa Poleo delivered the project, stating that Commander Chávez is forever, he is a great collective. “Chávez is the heart of the People and the People are here in the heart of Commander Chávez,” he said, and then read the text.
