National Government began consultation on educational content in the area of science

This Thursday, consultation began across the country on content proposals for teaching and learning in the area of Science of the Basic Education Subsystem, which includes initial, primary and secondary education levels, said Education Minister Héctor Rodríguez.

From the Simón Bolívar room of the ministerial office in Caracas, Rodríguez explained that starting in September the final teaching document will be given to teachers so that it can be applied during the school year so that they can make corrections and new proposals.

“At the end of the (school) year we collect the material and we will have another year of discussion. If something is missing, write it down, this is a great collective construction,” said the minister.

He asserted, according to a press release, that the content must be ordered progressively and that the objectives have a place in the class schedule.

For Rodríguez, science is fundamental in this global geopolitical moment, and he stressed that everything points to the specialization of teachers in this educational area.

In this regard, he stated that interest in science has been growing in the student population, a product of the National Scientific Seed Program, an initiative promoted by the national government in all classrooms in the national territory.
