National Government delivered 780 lenses during a social care day in Caricuao

A total of 780 corrective lenses were delivered to residents of the Caricuao parish in Caracas, as part of the health commitments acquired through the Solutions Caravans, Mayor Carmen Meléndez reported this Wednesday.

Meléndez explained that the delivery responds to the care of patients who previously attended ophthalmological consultations for three days of this comprehensive care program.

“Every time we go to a caravan, we take all the ophthalmology specialists, in this case,” said the local authority.

In addition, as reported by the Venezuelan News Agency, the mayor highlighted the balance of Operation Caracas Smile, a permanent deployment initiative that, in a year of administration, has visited all 300 communes and communal circuits of the capital city.

In this regard, he specified that during the first phase of this operation, more than two million 100 thousand people were treated in different medical and social assistance services.
