Within the framework of the Great Mission Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán, the Socialist Warriors Commune of Chávez and the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite) held the training workshop “The Wonderful World of Microscopy” at the Serafín Cedeño Bolivarian elementary school, located in the San Fernando municipality of the state of Apure.
This pedagogical initiative is promoted through the National Scientific Semilleros Program, which territorializes the Ministry of Science and Technology (Mincyt) in the communes and communal councils of the national territory.
During the day, the students experienced the fascinating study of the invisible, learning from the basic operation of the microscope to the identification of complex microscopic structures. Through direct observation of samples, participants strengthened their critical analysis skills, discovering how technology is a fundamental tool for unraveling the secrets of our environment.
Microscopy as a technique serves to make visible objects, structures and organisms that are too small to be detected with the naked eye.
Through this scientific method, it is possible to identify bacteria, study cells, analyze blood samples, diagnose diseases in medicine and develop new materials.
This initiative, according to a press release, not only promotes technical knowledge, but also sows the seed of a scientific vocation in the homeland's seedbed.
