The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has denounced that terrorist actions directed against the National Electric System (SEN), in the state of Aragua, seek to destabilize the country and leave a large part of the population without energy.
He said that “this situation highlights the Government's determination to maintain energy sovereignty and peace in the country, in the face of conspiracy from sectors of the opposition.”
In that vein, he stressed that “we have reported new terrorist actions. We have neutralized the permanent conspiracy, progress has been made at a good level in protecting the SEN. This terrorist act was intended to leave half the country without light,” said the president, who reaffirmed the Government's commitment to this threat.”
