This Monday, May 12, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that he supports and applauds the proposal of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, to establish a dialogue with Ukraine, which he proposed in Istanbul, Türkiye, for next May 15.

“We support the call for face-to-face dialogue, without intervention, between the Government of Russia and the de facto government of Ukraine,” he said.

During the 79th edition of the Con Maduro+ program, he rejected that despite the proposal of an understanding, “nevertheless, Europe has come out to blackmail. They want war.”

In that regard, he asked: “Who is war good for? Why such envy against Russia?”

The head of state emphasized that “we reject blackmail, ultimatums and threats against peace.”
