The National Meeting to Promote Popular Communication for the New Era concluded with great success, in which more than 200 representatives of alternative and community media discussed the events of the coup d'etat 22 years ago.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, this meeting, which took place from April 11 to 13 in the channel's spaces, aimed to dialogue and debate about the new era of digital platforms and also tools for assertive communication.

Several speakers offered their views on this topic and this Saturday, the sectoral vice-president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, shared with these communicators who came to Caracas from different states of the country and who are developing alternative and community proposals in defense of the truth of Venezuela.

In his presentation, Ñáñez stated that social networks are used as a mechanism for instant communication, to instill mostly lies among users, producing skepticism in the population.

In this regard, he considered that the brain is manipulated by technology, which is in direct dialogue with our subconscious, since a greater force is driven by an algorithm of new digital media.

He also stated that Venezuela is home to a classic and real political state with struggles, strengths and virtues that cannot be translated into 60 seconds. For this reason, he said that a coup d'etat such as the one that took place on 11, 12 and 13 April 2002, is never repeated in the same way.

It is important to note that the meeting confirmed that communication work on all platforms is a way of fighting the truth in the world.
